 Little Martha… magical child. Sweet, imaginative, and wild.

With curly locks and big blue eyes. For your age, you are so very wise.

Creative, intelligent, gentle, and kind. I can see you clearly in my mind.

Alone in the garden but not lonely. With the fairies and angels, only you can see.

To escape from your family, you sometimes hide.

Emerging when there’s no more tears to be cried.

Sometimes a child’s life is not an easy road.

When you suffer and carry such a heavy load.

I know you long to be cherished, “The Special Girl”.

Make believing …you create your own little world.

Where Mommy often has time for you.

Kids don’t bully, and you make friends that are true.

Where scars don’t matter and aren’t all they see.

Where childhood will be a fond memory.

Little girl, I have not forgotten you.

You’re inside everything I say and do.

You are me and I am you.

We have each other and here’s what I’ll do.

I will love and cherish you forever more.

And I will bring you forward through this open door.
